About Us

The Carnegie corporation of New York’s Africa programme has redefined its focus as ‘’Developing and Retaining the Next Generation of Africa Academics, University Leaders and University Librarians’’.

Following calls to submit proposals, the Corporation has extended support to four universities in Africa namely Cape Town University, University of Witwatersrand, University of Ghana and Makerere University to support institutional mechanisms to train and retain the next generation of Africa academics.

This calls for strengthening collaboration across supported universities and devising strategies to share information and possibly human resources to meet the objectives of the programme
